Although helmets are not required in the state of Nevada we do require them for minors.
HOW FAR DO THE BIKES TRAVEL?
For our standard Lectric bikes you should get 45+ miles on your fully charged battery. The manufacture states that range is a tricky thing and can vary depending on many variables. Weight, tire pressure, elevation changes, level of PAS/throttle, amount of pedaling power, wind conditions, number of stops and starts, temperature, top speed setting, and brake rubbing all have an effect on range.
HOW FAST CAN THE BIKES GO?
For our standard Lectric bikes, using pedal assist the top speed can be 28mph, with the top throttle speed being 20mph. So pretty darn fast, it is important to start slow to get familiar with the bike first before exploring top speeds. Also keep in mind you need to follow all posted speed limit signs and follow all local and state laws while riding. Your safety and the safety of others is important to everyone.
IT IS MY FIRST TIME RIDING AN ELECTRIC BIKE WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?
Get ready to have fun! As long as you can ride a bike you can ride an eBike. They ride exactly the same as any other bike they just give you a little boost when pedaling. And if you do not feel comfortable with using the pedal assist or throttle then just only pedal. Your site coordinator will help you with all the details making sure you are comfortable prior to your departure.
Here is some information from the manufacture for our standard Lectric bikes when operating.
1.Select a level of pedal assist using the plus and minus buttons on the button pad. Pedal assist level 1 is the lowest level of assist and pedal assist level 5 is the highest level of assist. Level zero will provide no assistance.
2.The right handlebar features a half-twist throttle. To operate the throttle, ensure the pedal assist level is set above 0, then twist the throttle back slowly according to how much speed and acceleration you want to achieve. The farther you twist the throttle from its resting position, the more power propels the bike forward. When the bike is at a complete stop, turn the display off. This will ensure that the motor will not activate until the display is turned back on and the rider is ready to go.
Note: Exercise extreme caution using the twist throttle. When at a complete stop with the bike turned on, be careful not to twist the throttle unknowingly or the bike could throw you off balance and cause serious harm, injury, or death.)
3.To turn on the headlight and tail light, press and hold the plus button on the button pad. The battery must be inside the bike when it is in its unfolded position in order for the headlight to work.
WHAT DO WE DO IF OUR BIKES RUN OUT OF CHARGE?
Pedal :) Our bikes are electric, however they still work the old fashioned way. You can just pedal so you will never be stuck. Also it is extremely important that you do not charge your bike without using the proper charger cable that is provided by the manufacture. This can be very dangerous. You will only receive a charger when the bike is rented out for 24 hours. It is also important to not leave the bike on charge without supervision and leave it charging for longer than the suggest time frame from the manufacture.
WHAT DO WE DO IF OUR BIKE BREAKS DOWN OR WE GET A FLAT TIRE?
Oh nuts! Call us asap so we can help you out.
is there a height and weight limit?
Yes per the manufacture for the Lectric 2.0 bike, the max payload capacity is 330 lbs, this includes rider, additional passengers and personal property that is carried while riding. Additionally the rider height for the Lectric 2.0 bike is 5’0-6’4 with a stand-over height of 25”
